Coach Srdjan Sergio Filipovic died in Oman...
S.Filipovic Gwangju2019
(Muscat, OMN) - Extremely sad news has come to the swimming audience in Serbia as well as also many countries where he lived and worked for the last two decades. Srdjan Sergio Filipovic, advanced swim coach - the Head Coach of the National Oman Swimming Team died in his age of 49 after the sudden heart attack in the City of Muscat. One of the founder of the Swim Star 2000 swimming club and our first coach, then the main consultant, Sergio Filipovic within his career of more than 22 years inlayed many efforts to discover and rise many swimming talents, not only in Yugoslavia and Serbia, but also Italy, Portugal, Cyprus, Dubai (UAE), and in Oman for the last two years. His modern attitude and experiences in the swimming sport helped him rose few Olympic participants. The very first Olympic swim candidate from Oman ever is Isa Al Adawi (member of the FINA program for the Tokyo Games 2021). Sending our sadness to Sergio’s family, Head of the Swim Star 2000 SC extends sympathy with a personal message: Vjecnaja slava i hvala Legendo !!!!
